• The website maef.nic.in no longer exists. It returns NXDOMAIN from independent public DNS resolvers, as do www.maef.nic.in, maef.gov.in and maef.org.in, so any page telling students to apply there is out of date.
• Minority students in Telangana apply through TS ePASS at telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in, where Minority is one of the welfare categories alongside SC, ST, BC, EBC and Disabled Welfare. Andhra Pradesh students apply through Jnanabhumi at jnanabhumi.ap.gov.in.
• Several central schemes on the National Scholarship Portal do not consider religion and remain open to minority students, including AICTE Pragati for girls, AICTE Saksham, AICTE Swanath, the National Means cum Merit Scholarship, Ishan Uday and the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies.
• All central sector schemes on the National Scholarship Portal close student applications on 31 October 2026, institute verification on 15 November 2026 and nodal officer verification on 30 November 2026. Filing a complete application at a Common Service Centre costs a fixed 30 rupees.
