Voter ID Card (EPIC — Electors' Photo Identity Card) is issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI). It is both a voting document and a widely accepted identity proof. All services — new registration, corrections, transfer, and e-EPIC download — are now available online at voters.eci.gov.in and the Voter Helpline app.
New Voter ID Apply Online — Form 6
voters.eci.gov.in → "Register as New Voter / Due to Shifting" → "Form 6" select చేయండి.
Mobile number + OTP verify చేయండి. Account create చేయండి. State → District → Constituency select చేయండి.
Name, DOB, address, Aadhaar details fill చేయండి. Photo + address proof + age proof upload చేయండి.
Submit చేయండి. Reference number note చేసుకోండి. BLO (Booth Level Officer) field verification చేస్తారు. Approval తర్వాత EPIC card issued అవుతుంది.
Voter ID Correction / Transfer — Form 8

e-EPIC is the digital version of Voter ID card — legally valid, can be stored in DigiLocker. Download steps:

Voter ID apply చేసిన తర్వాత ఎంత రోజులకు వస్తుంది?
After online Form 6 submission, BLO (Booth Level Officer) field verification conducts within 15 to 30 days. After verification and approval by Electoral Registration Officer, EPIC card is dispatched. Physical card takes 30 to 60 days typically. You can download e-EPIC immediately after approval from voters.eci.gov.in.
Voter ID card లో name తప్పుగా ఉంటే ఎలా correct చేయాలి?
Visit voters.eci.gov.in → Login → Form 8 → "Correction of entries" → Select "Name" → Correct spelling enter చేయండి → Supporting document (Aadhaar / 10th certificate) upload చేయండి → Submit. BLO verification తర్వాత corrected EPIC issued అవుతుంది.
Voter list లో name ఉందో లేదో ఎలా check చేయాలి?
Visit electoralsearch.eci.gov.in → Name, State, District enter చేయండి → Search చేయండి. Your name, EPIC number, polling booth details show అవుతాయి. Alternatively, Voter Helpline app లో "Search Your Name in Electoral Roll" feature use చేయండి. Voter Helpline 1950 కి call చేసి కూడా check చేయవచ్చు.
Hyderabad నుండి Vijayawada కి shift అయితే voter ID transfer ఎలా చేయాలి?
For constituency transfer (different state or district), apply Fresh Form 6 at your new address constituency on voters.eci.gov.in. Your name will be deleted from old roll and added to new constituency roll. For transfer within same constituency, use Form 8 "Transposition" option. Always carry new address proof documents.
18 years కంటే తక్కువ age ఉన్నప్పుడు voter ID apply చేయవచ్చా?
No. Voter ID registration requires minimum age of 18 years. However, if you will turn 18 on or before January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1 of the qualifying year, you can apply in advance. ECI has introduced quarterly voter registration rolls — so you don't have to wait for the annual roll to register.
