What’s New in NEET UG 2026 Registration?

Along with the regular application details, candidates now need to complete eKYC verification (Aadhaar-based) and submit a live captured photograph.
This is meant to tighten identity checks and reduce errors during exam-day verification.

How to Do Live Photo Capture (Simple Steps)

  1. Login and go to the Photo / Live Photo section in the NEET UG application form.
  2. Select your method: Web Camera or Mobile (QR Code).
  3. Webcam: Allow camera permission → sit facing the camera → capture when your face is centered.
  4. Mobile QR: Scan QR on your screen → open capture link on mobile → take live photo → submit.
  5. Preview carefully and confirm only if the photo looks clear and matches the rules.

Live Photo Rules

  • Face should cover at least 80% of the frame
  • No caps/hat, goggles, sunglasses, or tinted glasses
  • Use good lighting; avoid shadows
  • Plain background is recommended

Why It’s Important

NTA may verify your live photo during the exam. If the image is unclear or doesn’t match, it may create issues at the test centre.

FAQ (NEET UG 2026 Registration + Live Photo)

What is live photo capture in NEET UG 2026?
Live photo capture means you must take a real-time photograph during form filling using a webcam or mobile QR method, instead of uploading only a saved image.
Can I wear glasses during the live photo capture?
Avoid goggles/sunglasses/tinted glasses. If you must wear normal spectacles, ensure there is no glare and your eyes are clearly visible (follow the portal’s instruction shown on-screen).
Can I change my exam language later?
No. The selected language is final, so choose carefully during application.
What if I submit two applications by mistake?
NTA allows only one application per candidate. Multiple submissions may lead to disqualification—avoid creating duplicate accounts/forms.
