⚡Key Areas of Work
📋Roles & Responsibilities
Accurately enter patient information, medical records, test results, billing data, and clinical notes into the hospital's Health Information Management System (HIMS). Ensure zero errors in patient demographic data, insurance details, and medical history. Process high volumes of data quickly and accurately within shift timelines.
Maintain and organize physical and digital medical records as per hospital protocols. File and retrieve patient records when required by doctors, nursing staff, or administration. Ensure all documents comply with hospital confidentiality and HIPAA-equivalent Indian healthcare privacy standards.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on patient admissions, discharges, billing, and department-wise data. Support the hospital administration team with Management Information System (MIS) reports. Use MS Excel, MS Word, and hospital software to compile and present data for review by department heads.
Assist the billing department by entering patient billing information, insurance policy details, and procedure codes. Verify data accuracy for insurance claims submission. Support the finance team in reconciliation of billing records and insurance payment tracking.
Conduct periodic data quality checks to identify and correct errors in the system. Cross-verify data entries against source documents. Maintain high accuracy standards (99%+ accuracy rate expected in healthcare data entry roles). Report data discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
