👷 eShram Card 2026 — What is it?
eShram Card is issued by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India to register unorganised sector workers and provide them a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN). It gives access to social security benefits, welfare schemes, and acts as a national identity for workers in the unorganised sector — construction workers, street vendors, agricultural workers, domestic workers, and more.

eShram card కి ₹2 lakh insurance ఎలా claim చేయాలి?
eShram card holders are automatically enrolled in PM Suraksha Bima Yojana. In case of accidental death, the family must contact the nearest bank branch where the worker's account is linked, file a claim form, submit death certificate, FIR copy (if applicable), and eShram card. The ₹2 lakh is paid to the nominee linked to the bank account.
eShram card లో details update ఎలా చేయాలి?
Visit eshram.gov.in → "Update eShram Card" → Login with UAN or registered mobile OTP → Update details like bank account, occupation, address → Submit. Bank account changes require re-verification. Address and occupation can be updated online anytime.
eShram card ఉంటే job guarantee వస్తుందా?
No. eShram card is a registration card — it does not guarantee employment. However, it links the worker to the National Database of Unorganised Workers (NDUW) which helps the government target welfare schemes, skill training programs, and employment schemes like MGNREGS to registered workers more effectively.
Private company employee eShram card apply చేయవచ్చా?
Private company employees who are EPFO (PF) members are NOT eligible for eShram. However, if you work in the informal/unorganised sector — like a contract worker without PF, daily wage employee, self-employed person, gig worker, or domestic help — you are eligible regardless of whether your employer is a private company or individual.
CSC centre నుండి eShram card apply చేయవచ్చా?
Yes. Common Service Centres (CSCs) across India help register workers for eShram cards. CSC operators assist with online form filling, Aadhaar verification, and printing the card. AP and Telangana లో MeeSeva centres కూడా eShram registration help చేస్తాయి. There is no fee for eShram registration — be careful of agents charging money.
