🎮 About Side & the Role
Side is a global gaming services company that provides quality assurance, testing, and player experience solutions for game developers and publishers worldwide. They are hiring Trainee Test Engineers focused on game testing in their HITEC City, Hyderabad office.
📋 Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct thorough testing of game features, functionality, and performance across Mobile, PC, and console platforms. Execute test cases and test plans according to project deadlines. Test multiple game genres (RPG, FPS, AR, strategy, sports) to identify defects, visual glitches, gameplay bugs, and performance issues.
Document and track bugs using designated bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.) with detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, severity levels, and supporting screenshots/videos. Maintain comprehensive test documentation including test cases, test plans, and testing reports. Provide clear regression test results.
Test games across different devices and platforms — iOS/Android smartphones, PC (Windows/Mac), and console environments. Validate AR/VR functionality where applicable. Ensure game performance, frame rates, loading times, and battery consumption meet quality standards across all target devices.
Stay updated on industry trends in game testing methodologies and tools. Contribute to QA process improvements by providing feedback and suggestions.
