JEE Main is India's most attempted engineering entrance exam with 12–14 lakh students per year — arguably the world's largest competitive exam by participation. The result is reported as a percentile score (not raw marks), normalized across multiple shifts and sessions. The best percentile from Session 1 or Session 2 is considered for the final merit list. Paper 1 is for B.Tech/B.E. admission; Paper 2A for B.Arch; Paper 2B for B.Planning.

🏛️ Conducting Agency
NTA — National Testing Agency has conducted JEE Main since 2019 (previously CBSE). NTA is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It conducts JEE Main, NEET, CUET, and other national exams. JEE Main runs across multiple shifts and days to handle the massive candidate volume. Scores are normalized using percentile methodology across all shifts.

💬 What Aspirants Say — Real Reviews
"People think numericals are safe because there's no negative marking — that's completely wrong for JEE Main. Both MCQ and numerical sections carry −1 for wrong attempts. I lost 8 marks guessing numericals in my first attempt. Learn from my mistake."
"The percentile system means you don't need to score 300. Getting 180–200 consistently is enough for a decent NIT. The key is being consistent and making fewer mistakes than your peers — not necessarily solving the hardest questions."
"NCERT Chemistry is literally the exam syllabus for Inorganic. I read every NCERT line, did past papers, and scored 90+ in chemistry consistently. Don't skip NCERT for any JEE coaching material shortcuts."
