What is the minimum disability percentage for a Disability Certificate?

Is Disability Certificate valid for lifetime?
For permanent disabilities such as blindness, deafness, locomotor disabilities, and other irreversible conditions, the Disability Certificate is issued for lifetime. For temporary or fluctuating conditions, it may be issued for a fixed period and renewal will be required. The Medical Board determines whether the certificate is permanent or temporary based on the nature of the disability.
UPSC / SSC exam లో PwD candidates కి extra time ఇస్తారా?
Yes. PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities (80%+) are given 20 minutes extra time per hour in UPSC, SSC, Railways, and other central government examinations. They are also entitled to use a scribe if needed. These benefits are only available on production of a valid Disability Certificate issued by the government medical board.
Income tax లో Disability Certificate వల్ల ఎంత benefit పడుతుంది?
Under Section 80U of the Income Tax Act, a person with disability (40%–79%) can claim deduction of ₹75,000 per year. A person with severe disability (80% or more) can claim ₹1,25,000 per year deduction. This deduction is from taxable income and reduces your income tax liability directly.
