The Shop and Establishment Licence (also called Trade Licence or Gumasta) is a mandatory registration under the AP Shops & Establishments Act and Telangana Shops & Establishments Act. Every business operating from a fixed premises — shops, offices, restaurants, salons, warehouses — must obtain this licence within 30 days of starting operations. It is issued by the local Municipal Corporation or Gram Panchayat.
