You’ll lead event strategy-to-execution, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (creative, content, production, finance, operations, agencies, vendors),
and keep delivery on track using strong planning rhythms, governance, and measurement.
What Success Looks Like (Simple Scorecard)
- Clear planning cadence (roadmaps, milestones, documentation) with strong stakeholder alignment.
- Operational control over budgets, forecasting, logistics, and risk mitigation.
- Strong executive communication via ROB updates, briefings, and crisp decision guidance.
- Measurable outcomes using event KPIs and post-event learning loops.
- Playbook-driven delivery that improves scale, efficiency, and consistency across events.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-functional leadership: Align creative, content, marketing, production, finance, ops, agencies, and vendors for delivery excellence.
- Structured planning: Build and run roadmaps, timelines, milestones, governance routines, and documentation to drive accountability.
- Operational oversight: Own budgets, forecasting, logistics, risk management, and tradeoff decisions across experience, cost, and risk.
- Stakeholder partnership: Provide recommendations and judgment in complex and ambiguous scenarios; unblock and enable decisions.
- ROB management: Lead Rhythm of Business processes—internal communications, stakeholder updates, and executive briefings.
- Go-to-market alignment: Work with creative/content teams to support demand generation, registration goals, and field enablement.
- Measurement: Track KPIs, build scorecards, lead post-event analysis, and apply learnings to future programs.
- Continuous improvement: Strengthen operating models, playbooks, tools, and best practices to scale event excellence.
Qualifications
Pay Range (as listed by Microsoft)
Typical U.S. base pay range: USD $106,400 – $203,600 per year.
SF Bay Area & NYC metro base pay range: USD $137,600 – $222,600 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and additional compensation. Final pay depends on work location and other factors as defined by Microsoft.
